Solve : Vid card replacement?

Answer»

My vid card recently bit the dust......I have a HP Pavillion A1709N desktop...the vid card was a NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE...I bought a NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT  PCI express....will this work?Your system specs show one slot for one PCI Express X16 graphics.so this will work then....do I NEED to unistall the previous drivers or will uninstall them automatically when I install the new vid card?
Always a good idea to uninstall video drivers first.

Best of luck. And to hope that the little HP power supply is up to it.  power supply?  oh PLEASE tell me  I dont need any new problemsYou would be well served by checking the wattage of the PSU (printed on the side of it) and notice the name brand. Then research the power requirements of that card.
