Solve : Video controler?

Answer»

I'm running WINDOWS small business 2003, At start up I'm getting a new hardware found. it starts looking for : Video Controller", it can't find and is asking for disk? I have no idea what disk to PUT in?. The difference I SEE is that when trying to scroll the screen, it won't scroll smoothly, but rather in steps and choppy, if that makes sense. Thanks for any helpTake a look in Device Manager - any yellow EXCLAMATION marks? Sounds like you may have to reinstall your video driver for some reason. You are right. How do I know what driver to install. I have disks from every computer I have ever had. Of course that doesent mean I know what the are all for, or what computer they came from?In device manager click on "Display Adapters" - that will show you the MODEL you have. Now go to the website of the manufucturer of that card and download and install the current driver for that model."Display Adapters" is not an optionDo you have an onboard video card/chip? You can go to Display Properties - Settings - Advanced - Adapter. Or download either Belarc Advisor (my choice) or Everest. Install and run. Either of those apps will tell you exactly what hardware you have installed.Okay, I did that and it said it is a "VGA Save" but I can't seem to find the manufacturer on linehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VGASAVE
