Answer» RUNNING Windows Vista Home Premium on an Acer M5630. Graphics card is GFORCE GT 240. Three GB memory. It started two days ago. When I was watching a movie on Netflix, after about five minutes, the computer shut off. It restarted and went through the whole cycle. Then I got an 'Input not supported' message. I manually restarted and had no problem getting back on the web. Tried the TV through Windows Media Center. Same thing. Nascar.com. Same thing. ANY video I try shuts down 3 to 14 minutes in. Re-downloaded the software for graphics card. No help. Any ideas out there?Check all your power settings in Control PANEL...adjust as needed.Have you tried lowering your video resolution and REFRESH rate?Tried taking power from high performance to balanced. Tried taking refresh rate from 75 Hz to 60. Sorry, folks. I've taken this Acer to three different shops for different problems. They've all said " I've never seen this!". Austin Texas is a very digital friendly town. Do I have a haunted machine? Jim |
