Solve : Video mode? |

Answer» Windows 98, 3nd EDITION. Everything running great. Suddenly during boot up, just after Wndows 98 screen is shown, screen goes TOTALLY black and the message "Cannot display this video mode" appears. Am at a loss as cannot get to any desktop controls. etc.Try changing the display setting. If that fails, test monitor: PLUG into different computer and see what happens. See if same thing happens with other monitor.Cannot change display because cannot get to control panel.Then test the monitor in the manner I described before.You should be able to start in safe mode then ADJUST your display SETTINGS (low), then reboot.Hold down the f5 key on boot up...for safe mode.Have you recently reloaded the system,if so you will need the graphics drivers.... |
