Solve : Vista laptop not reading any cd's or flash drives?

Answer»

Hi I need help.  I just BOUGHT a laptop this summer from Dell and it has Vista on it.  I put in CD-R's that have INFORMATION burned onto them and and my laptop doesn't read it.  On my desktop PC the CD is read.  Also when I plug in my flash drive my laptop says I have to reformat my flash drive in ORDER to use it.  This is the same for my iPod.  Vista sees the iPod as corrupted and I have reset it numerous TIMES and it still sees it as corrupted.  Can someone please help me?  Thanks!

AndreaAnd you can read the flash drive and ipod on another computer? If you just bought the laptop this summer it should still be under warranty. If you haven't already I would contact Dell. Quote from: mroilfield on November 08, 2008, 05:55:06 AM

That is if the Flash Drive and Ipod don't work on other computers.
