Hi, Just purchased a Compaq notebook with Vista Basic and preinstalled with Norton, so I removed
it (Norton) because I hate it and the machine became a rocket - no problems. Then I
installed Trend Micro AV and now I can't open the Windows Mail program at all, the message says I don't have enough memory to do it. (Error message 0x80070005,5) Further it says that the app couldn't be opened because the MSOE.Dll could not ne initiated. I removed Trend but still have the same problem. Also I am getting error messages at startup and in EXPLORER concerning missing desktop locations (Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\Desktop), The IE shortcut was removed from the start menu and I cannot ACCESS the quick launch toolbar, any ideas?

Are you able to run System File Checker?Hi, umm... just installed Onecare which is presently looking for bugs, have run Crap Cleaner & Tune up Utilities which found errors and repaired them but I still have the problem. Also Vista's help menu finds no topics no matter what I type in there ie: Vista, Windows, I wish I never bought this thing etc.... you knowSome good antispyware programs are SUPERAntiSpyware and AVG Antispyware Free. Try installing and running these and SEE if they find anything. Antivirus didn't help but I figured out the fix ... Created a new account in Users and set that as the administrator - worked a treat, everything is now fully functional - KEWL! Thanks for the help.
