Answer» I have a VB6 APP that runs fine on a W2K workstation. It is made to send a print job to a web server.
I TRY to do the same job with a Vista workstation and it doesn't work. I have made a network capture and the Vista workstation is blocking the out put of the print job to the web server. I don't know why.
The firewall is off and file sharing is on. Any ideas as to what I can check to get this working?
Thanks Try running it in Compatibility mode... Create a desktop shortcut to it. Right click the shortcut and select properties and select compatibility mode. Thanks for the answer.
I am not able to do that. When I bring up the window to make the CHANGE its grayed out. Its says it can't make the change because its on a network drive.
I FOUND another way to get that done. I am going to try it and if it works I will let you know.
Thanks! Cool !It didn't work. I got the same error about not being able to set it because it is a network program.
I did a google for something like blocked VB app on Vista. From what I saw SP1 for vista blocked a bunch of 3rd party apps.
Now if I could figure out a work around....
I am going to be doing some research about this. If I find ANYTHING out I will post it.
Thanks!
