does anyone know how to make a Vista recovery CD? I have downloaded SP1 and this still doesn't give me the option of MAKING one....

No.
You will need a full Vista CD to do this.
The links provided only let you get into the Recovery CONSOLE to do repairs.
If you did not recieve a Vista CD with purchase contact the machine manuf. and or STORE for details...
