Answer» I was hearing talk on here about getting an upgrade for free to the new win 7 for vista users. My sister has had it for shortly about a year, can she get it an how would we go about getting it? I have a copy of RC but nothing else.You have to get a qualifying product within the dates, the idea is to persuade people to buy a PC with Vista now, even though they would rather have 7, so that they do not all wait until 7 is available, which would make sellers of new PCs unhappy. Why would it? Sales would increase? Course that means that they would have to get a shipment an such. This would DEPRESS sales between now and when Windows 7 is released. But its free to use rc so wouldnt that give them an insight to it?The RC will run properly 'til March or so of next year... It will then start taking a dump every day for 2 HOURS at random intervals until it times out altogether... I'd still contact the manuf. and see if you qualify for anything...
