Solve : Vista - UAC and Task Manager?

Answer»

I am running Vista ULT x64 and i have UAC turned on, which is what i want.

In Task Manager, in the processes tab, i have to CLICK on a UAC-protected button to SHOW processes from all users. Is there some way to enable this option by default? Quote from: boo on April 26, 2009, 10:12:51 AM

With UAC on, not that I KNOW of.

It's on by default if UAC is turned off.Yes, I am aware of that but i thought there might be a way round it.... Oh well, thanks anyway Quote from: boo on April 27, 2009, 03:59:42 AM

It's quite possible that there is a way around it by editing the registry. I don't recommend doing that if you don't know what you're doing when editing the registry.
The How-To Geek web site has a couple articles about that subject. The process involves creating a scheduled task that runs with administrator RIGHTS. There is no registry editing required. Here is a link to the main article. There is a second link at the end of the article.
