Answer» Should have said this earlier... Look in the list of pending files and check for files in the "softwaredistrubution" folder. What exactly am I looking for, there? I have quiet a bunch there.Sorry about the last post. What I was ment to SAY was, in the "My Pending Files", look for pending files that belong in the "softwaredistribution" folder. Close that folder, open up Comodo Firewall 3 and click on the link that says "waiting for your review". There should be quite a few files there. Look at the picture I ATTACHED. The entry with the red box around it is a file which belongs to a certain update. If you notice an entry similar to this, tick it, click on Move To, and click on My Own Safe Files. Make sure you tick all entries related to this. [file cleanup - saving space - attachment deleted by ADMIN]In "My Pending Files", I have a bunch of files in the "softwaredistribution" folder, but they're all listed as "modified". Then, what particular file am I looking for? I can't see any "waiting for your review" link. [file cleanup - saving space - attachment deleted by admin]CHOOSE the entries listed as New / Modified, click on Move To, and click on My Own Safe Files. Does it install now? -- edit -- Click on 'Status' near the top of the 'My Pending Files' window to show all entries that are New or New / Modified. All files, not only in softwaredistribution" folder are either new, or modified. Should I move them all?Go ahead and move them to safe files. After all, you are the malware removal specialist, there shouldn't be any malware entries in there.LOL....LET me try...It didn't work, because most files were already there.Download the update from HERE. After it has finished downloading, disconnect from the internet, exit COMODO Firewall Pro 3 by clicking on it's icon in the system tray and choosing Exit, and try to install the update. Did it install this time?I found the solution here: http://forums.comodo.com/help_for_v3/windows_update_fails_with_comodo_merged_threads-t16987.60.html post #68: TEMPORARY FIX 2 : 0 - Open Comodo 1 - Go to Defense+->Advanced->Defense+ Settings and select "Deactivate Defense+ PErmanently" option 2 - Restart your computer and retry the updates. 3 - After the updates are completed, reacrtivate the Defense+ and restart your computer. NOTE 1. Update KB943411 installed right away without rebooting the computer. 2. Sidebar didn't have to be open, nor running.Huzzah, I'm glad you got it all sorted out. That'll be a good fix to remember in case anyone comes here with that problem. Kudos on your find.Sorry for all kind of misspelling.
