Answer» Ok i can't seem to get my Vista to install!
Everything goes fine, UNTILL right at the last part i get a BSOD, and the computer RESTARTS upon it's restart the SYSTEM starts to load like it should but as windows load a message saying "An unexpected error has occured and cuased windows to restart, please restart your system and restart the installation", Proplem is every time i try to install it - IT WILL NOT WORK.
It just repeats with the BSOD, i have rebuilt the system 3 times, and nothing.... i have no clue what is causing this.. the Hard Drive is good, Memory test checks out good, i tried to start in Safe mode, but i get an error that says "Windows can not finish installing in safe mode, please restart windows normally".
The system is a P4S800D-X Asus w/ AGP 8x ATI x1300, 3.0 Ghz Intel Celeron, 1.5 Megs of Ram, 80gig Maxtor HD w/ My Book 320gig External.

I wouldn't recommend Vista for another few years.yes, i had vista on one of my computers, i am so disgusted with vista's compatibility issues. i PAID for a vista liscense and threw it out, it was a waste of money, i put XP back on.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=FVbf9tOGwnoI agree vista is trash...
Proplem is i had XP on this Hard Drive, and i can put it back on it HOWEVER, XP will not work either, you see i install it, and everything appears to work fine however, the first time XP tries to load i got another BSOD, and this time it's saying to check for viruses, and make sure the Hard Drive doesn't have bad sectors, but like i said i have done checks on the HD it's fine.
So... i've had Vista working on this computer before, but it just stop working for no reason, i went back to XP, Xp stopped working, so i reinstalled XP - And it started doing what i described above...
I just want my Effing computer working i been screwing around with this for days...The last 3 posts are worthless...we're not here to throw out opinions on what people are / will be running. Save it for the Windows is garbage FORUMS. Were here to help with Computer issues period.
On that note ..segeris is this an MS Vista CD you are using or a copy someone burned for you ? ? Check the CD itself for scratches and or smudges...use a lint free cloth to gently clean it. Has there been any issues with the CD drive you are running it on ? ? ALSO what OS are you installing it over ? ? When you say the HDD and RAM are both good what diagnostics did you use to determine this ? ? Post back with the details and we'll go from there...
