Solve : Vista, XP Home or XP Pro? |
|
Answer» Even though I haven't personally used Vista, I have heard it isn't much good. I currently have XP Home, Should I stay with XP Home or get XP Professional? Yes but if you need the things that are not yet ready you have a problem. (there are not much problems but Networking is one of them.) I'll give one of my secrets away: Firefox has a built in spell-checker. And if someone has a problem with you d/l Firefox, they are an idiot. The PC I'm using now is my mothers PC and it barely run with only IE 6 open. Sow If I install something else it will not work at all. You know what I mean. Jonas OMG you guys are actually saying Vista is better than XP!!!!! Hey Jjbtcp, what are you going to use Vista for? If you are going to play games, Vista isn't the best choice. Also, your printer might not work on Vista or most of your programs wont work. I would advise you to wait for SP2 or just get an XP now.Thats what I was trying to TELL whole the time. Thaks for your reply. Jonas I think I'm also right when I'm saying that XP prof is the best choise isn't it CD? I do want to say that Counterstrike Source works fine on Vista. But there are a bounche of game that doesn't. Jonas There is Halo 2 for vistaYes but the stupit thing about thatone is that its ONLY for Vista. I still don't know why they did that. Jonas Quote from: Carbon Dudeoxide on May 12, 2007, 09:11:33 AM OMG you guys are actually saying Vista is better than XP!!!!! My point is more: Why have a new machine with XP, and then pay to upgrade to Vista apres SP2 (or whatever they end up calling it)? If it were a simple upgrade, I'd hold fire, but if you're getting it free, might as well have the newer one...unless you specifically need the older one.Quote from: Jonas Wauters on May 12, 2007, 10:04:55 AM Yes but the stupit thing about thatone is that its ONLY for Vista. ...To sell Vista...This is a rambling mess of a thread. Jonas, I don't understand your need to answer every thread on the board and then end your response with "but I don't know". If you don't know, don't type anything. Just read. Yes but I always have something to add. But I'm never very sure of the things I say I don't want to have that someones PC crashes because I said that I was sure. I'm saying that so someone with more knowledge can confirm my info. Jonas Quote from: GX1_Man on May 12, 2007, 12:39:02 PM This is a rambling mess of a thread. No information is better than bad information. Think about it.Yes but did I said something that wasn't true? I will stop sending post if its annoying you. But the last two months I've learned much at this forum and I'm Learning new things every day. Jonas It's great to learn, but you need to know before you try to teach.OK but the thing I say are things who are allready sayed on this forum. Thanks for explaining. I'll wait to send a new reply untill I know for shure. Jonas Quote My point is more:I'm probably not even going to get Vista... |
