Solve : Wallpaper Won't Individualize!? |
|
Answer» Silly question...EMBARRASSED that it has me stumped. Running Windows XP Home Edition, both my wife and I have separate accounts, both as "administrators," and now (all of a sudden) whenever ONE of us selects a favorite photo (jpeg) to use as the Desktop wallpaper, it applies that change to both my desktop and hers (instead of allowing us to each have our own desktop wallpaper). What's up with that?!AH....never mind.....I figured it out. When using ACDSee software to find, select and assign the pic as "wallpaper," the "Display" function (in Conrtol Panel)only allowed for one "ACD Wallpaper." Thus, if both accounts used ACDSee to accomplish the wallpaper setting, it would apply to both accounts. However, if the pic is selected and assigned as wallpaper by a different MEANS (Windows Explorer, the Internet, etc.), it is allowed as a separate entry in Display and the two accounts can have their own separate wallpapers.Correct...after ACDSee has created them you have to GO to that directory and rename them each time. |
