Answer» On my new Vista Home Premium laptop - Medion from Aldi - Are you talking about the site www.getsuk.org? Same for me...in Flock (browser) in Ubuntu (o/s).Thanks both of you for your help! I realise now that when I set up my desktop monitor I increased the green in the RGB as I found it easier on the eyes. Do you know what is the usual/ recommended/factory percentage set up for RGB? This would affect how anyone viewed my site - I NOTE that the two of you had slightly different set ups. When I set all three RGB at 50 I get a more blue/mauve tinge than you did. Is there a recommended Gamma setting? Changing it didn't seem to make much difference on my desktop, but a lot of difference on my laptop. Thanks again for GIVING me the clue to my problem!I also see a sandy/very light brownish color. Can you go back to default settings on your monitor and then, if change is desired, use that as a starting point? I had thought of doing that but have no way I can find to return to default settings on my monitor! I am concerned because whatever background I set is obviously going to look different in different computers because of the monitor settings, so wonder what at what combination most people have their RGB set at? My "color temperature = 9300"Quote My "color temperature = 9300"So does mine on my Samsung CRT monitor, connected to my tower PC, which is the computer I used to view Dawn's site. But, that probably doesn't equate to Dawn's laptop. I bought a Notebook PC in July 07 and color on it is definitely different from color on my CRT monitor but I haven't experimented with color controls on the notebook. The color on the CRT monitor is the truer color. |
