I have a Lenovo T61 Thinkpad running Windows XP. It is about 4 months old.
I do not have any problems with it, however I was wondering if there were any programs to download to increase the performance, protect it better, and keep it running smoothly.

I suggest you use both the Windows scan and the Registry scan features of CCleaner. When using the registry scanner, you will be prompted to backup the registry before fixing the items found. Do backup the registry when prompted.Ok, I did that. Thanks.

Or just search Google for "Windows tweaks"Look at your hardware first, if your RAM is 1Gig or more, that should be no problem. You can use any windows optimized softwares. I have good experience with CCleaner, TUNE up utility, and Regcure.
