Answer» hello every one
my PROBLEM is that the VIDEO ACCELERATOR ENGINE EXE DLL I WILL TRY AGAIN the above engine stops my computer from shutting down an error message says VIDEO ACCELERATOR ENGINE EXE. FAILED TO SHUT DOWN
i am running a intel 2.4 gig chip with 2 gig of RAM with windows xp sp2
i have done the obvious and that is replaced my video card driver and then replaced my video card, i am now running the on board graphics and it still hasnt done anything
some help here would be muchly appriciated
bartrobIs that the ENTIRE error message?
ACCELERATOR ENGINE EXE. FAILED TO SHUT DOWN
this application failed to shut down because the WINDOW station failed to shut down
that is the entire message
bartrobI simply don't believe, this is the EXACT error message.ACCELERATOR ENGINE EXE.DLL INITIATION FAILED
that is in the header
then just this line only and that is all
the application failed to initalize because the window station is shutting down
sorry there is nothing else
bartrob
Is it rather: VIDEO ACCELERATOR ENGINE EXE.DLL INITIATION FAILED? If so, do you have SpeedBit Video Accelerator: http://www.speedbit.com/video_accelerator/beta.asp installed? well done
yes sorry i dropped the VIDEO bit from my later posts and you are right it was speed bit accelerator after eliminating the hardware that left the software and although i have had speed bit on my comp for a while i feel an upgrade has caused the problem thank you for your efforts
bartrobQuote after eliminating the hardware that left the software What hardware? Quotei feel an upgrade has caused the problem What upgrade?the hardware removed was the video card and i think it was an automated software upgrade from speedbit
bartrobGo START>Run, type in: msconfig Click OK. If you have any entry from Speedbit, uncheck it. Click OK. Restart your computer.
