Wait, I do FEEL one fan on the back. I dont feel anything coming out of it much. just a very slight breeze.

That would be the fan then. Make sure it's not blocked and read my previous post.what about a concrete surface to put it on?PP28L is the model NUMBER.You could try it.

Keep in mind that the cooling pad will allow the laptop to function efficiently on all surfaces.

As for the model number, can you just confirm whether or not it's a Dell XPS M1530?
http://www.google.com.hk/search?hl=en&q=dell+m1530&btnG=Search&meta=&aq=f&oq=ok, The first number I submitted was the computer itself. the newest one. PP28L or something is the MODEL NUMBER..Ok, M1530 is the one I needed to know. You typed ML530 the first time.

Looking at the pictures available online, it seems the fan is at the back, left of the screen. Make sure that is not blocked.

It seems overheating is a big problem with this laptop.

Anyhow, You know my other suggestions.Thank you so much! Please don't PM me for HELP, Alias. Keep all RELATED conversations on the forums for future reference.

Anyways, this is what you gave me:

This is one of the cooling pads I have:

With a Dell XPS like yours, you're going to want one with two or more fans spinning at around/above 2000rpm.
