Solve : Where can I download xp pro?? |
|
Answer» I have a situation here. I have my xp pro coa but I don't have the xp pro disk. Is there a website I could download xp pro and burn it to my cd to boot off of? MS holds the copyright to all their operating systems. ADVISING you of a download site WOULD be in breach of the CH rules which are here.. MS holds the copyright to all their operating systems. Advising you of a download site would be in breach of the CH rules which are here.. Why? You still would need the right key code for it to work.Quote from: Briguy on November 28, 2008, 07:26:56 PM Quote from: Dusty on November 28, 2008, 07:24:03 PMIts still copyrighted. If I call Microsoft would they direct me to one of their WEBSITES where I could download it?Quote from: Briguy on November 28, 2008, 07:40:32 PM If I call Microsoft would they direct me to one of their websites where I could download it?Nope. They would tell you where you can buy the CD though. If you want a legit copy for cheap, check out eBay.com If you want a new copy, without a single chance of having been used, check out www.newegg.com assuming it is a legit copy and running on your system....there should be a i386 folder(maybe hidden) which contains the information.....if you goto that folder (maybe only using a W98 dos boot disk) and type winnt it should start the install of xp for you and allow a repair/etc.Ever tried accessing the NTFS using a dos-based boot disk?
