Every time I turn my pc on / start it up, a ZONEALARM pop-up tells me 'something' wants internet access to a certain IP address and subsquently shows 'traffic signals' being generated,..-As though some program or software is trying to auto-check for updates or something.[I have turned off every auto-update I could find including Windows XP, and ZoneAlarm's itself]
-A check of windows task MANAGER to see what programs/processes are running only shows that "taskmgr.exe" is running.

-Anyone know of a program or software I could obtain that would tell my what's specifically trying/asking to CONNECT on the internet and where it's going?

I'm using an HP Laptop about 3yrs old, and using:
-WindowsXP, fully updated version
-ZoneAlarm firewall, fully updated
-All the other hardware/software on PC has it's "automatic updates" features turned OFF (I think)

thx in advance for any help,Zone Alarm should tell you what program is accessing the internet. What does the ZA popup say or what appears in the ZA log?
