Solve : white and black bars before windows start up?

Answer»

my windows xp crashed this evening. i have reinstalled my windows xp now. but when i boot up my PC, the first screen that i see is a black screen with a bar at the bottom of the screen, which consists of white and black patches(like a zebra crossing). after about 10-12 mins, these black patches get filled up by white, and then the pc starts up normally. Why is this HAPPENING??That is happening because windows is parsing the registry and major system components to check for errors-but 10-12 mins??? How exactly did you reinstall XP?YUP. these white and black bars take 10-12 mins to disappear and then m able to see the first black screen which says windows and the normal booting of the pc starts.

and as FAR as the process of reinstalling windows is concerned, i inserted the windows dvd in the dvd reader, and then formatted the pc via ntfs.

is there any solution to this problem? can the boot up time be reduced somehow?I'm guessing you neglected to re-install all your drivers....
This has to be done anytime Win is re-installed...

MBoard chipset drivers go 1st...yes/ i've installed all my drivers. m just wondering abt the solution to my problem. is there any way to reduce this boot up time??As i said it's either missing drivers...or you may have issues with that HDD...
Any Yellow !!'s in Device Manager ? ?
