Solve : Wifi works but? |

Answer» when i try to connect the ETHERNET cable modem to the laptop it doesnt work i try to start a new connection, it asks me for password and name? On my other computer(PC) it works without asking for password, wat the heck man? I was tols it should detect IP and everything automaticaly. pls and ty. Srry i 4got to mention its windows 7 im on.not to sound inpatient but, could it be windows 7? i javent found anything doing GOOGLE searches.You should not have to do anything on the client side - just plug and play. Are you using a router or a direct connection to the modem? Either way, reset the modem (and router if you have one) and reboot. I connect ethernet to jack on laptop, turn off modem reboot laptop but nothing happens.You need to turn on the modem before your reboot the laptop.
