I have been given a second hand computer and would like to know if I load WINDOWS XP profesiona will iy run OK. The computer information is as follows:
Accer Power SXb
X86 based pc
Processor Celeron 733MHz
If any more information is required please let me know what is required.

H/D 18GbIt'll run it- but it will be somewhat sluggish, depending on your intended purpose.

I worked with a 350Mhz AMD K6-2 with that amount of RAM, and a 2GB hard drive and 8GB second drive. It worked OK, but it took severe tweaking of the startups and services and so forth to get it running smoothly.Altough it would be technically possible to run XP on that computer I wouldn't try it. It will be incredibly slow with that amount of RAM. Windows 98 or even 2000 would be a better CHOICE.
