Solve : Win 7 kernel uses Linux??

Answer»

Hello everyone

At work someone brought an article implying Win 7 is USING a Linux kernel. That's one REASON why the Win XP compatibility issue. There have been two groups the MS bashers and the MS group. Some say Win 7 is nothing more then a Visa upgrade. While others say MS must change the their kernel to survive. I know MS has will continue to have problems with their BACKWARD APPROACH to security in the Desktop and Sever market. Also the way they approach with giving and restricting permission. Any truth to the Linux kernel?

The engineers that designed 7 may have looked at the Linux Kernel for pointers on how to make the Win 7 OS better, but I doubt by far that Bill Gates would use Linux because it would be like Micro$oft Merging with Apple in a 50/50 DEAL offer. NOT GONNA HAPPEN! ha ha

I dont doubt however that the engineers looked at the Kernel of Linux for pointers to make their OS better. Micro$oft in the past has cheated by stealing other people and corporations designs and twisting them enough to change the original product to a different enough product to avoid pattent infringement lawsuits. Linux being open source however would allow Micro$oft to mold it or less mold the original kernel without the threat of a lawsuit.Whoever told you Win7 is based on a Linux kernel needs medication...
The sooner the better.
