Hi All,

Can anyone tell me why, seemingly all of a sudden, now when I turn on my machine in the morning rather than my desktop waiting for me, I have to CLICK on a little icon and THEN it will open to my desktop. It's like there are MULTIPLE users on this computer or something, but it's only me, myself, and I.

If you've created an account for yourself then you will have to click on the account icon, but without a description and/or screenshot of the icon. then this is guess work..............Is there only one Icon (account) on the screen or are the multiple icons (accounts) from which you can choose?Hi, There's only one icon. I sure don't remember recently creating an account, but that does sound like what it is. How can I 'undo' an account? I'll TRY to shut down and do a PrintScr when it starts back up and see if I can capture it. It's not a big problem, just an extra click that I never had to do in the past... tnx!
To disable an account in Windows 7 goto - Start - Control panel - Add and Remove user account. You haven't mentioned what Operating System you have........

Well, I tried to do an alt- PrintScr but I guess it's too early in the opening process to work. But just picture this: a big blue screen, with one tiny square in the exact CENTER of the screen with a little fish in the box. And underneath the tiny box it says 'radiocycle'. I click on the box and it opens up to my desktop. Previously, I would just come in and it would already be at my desktop.

Yes, I'm sorry about not adding that I'm running Win 7 64 bit. I'll go try that procedure now... I think that might be the ticket and I'll let ya know for sure, thanks!

Thanks guys! That was it. That link that you posted, Allan, had the procedure I needed to turn ON the 'auto log in'.

I remember now that I did mess with that "netplwiz" when I was installing the magicjack phone thing the other day. I must have inadvertently changed the permissions there.
