Answer» I have win 7 32 bit SYSTEM. When I install new antivirus software(Norton) then error MESSAGE comes: There is error in windows installer package. Contact your package vendor. Pls HELP...........first of all get a back up of your register and your windows then : 1. OPEN Registry editor. 2. Locate the key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products. 3. Delete keys related to Symantec System Recovery. Refer to related technotes for REFERENCE about Product Global Unique Identifiers. 4. Reboot the server 5. Retry BESR/SSR installation. hope it can help you.If you are going to suggest editing the registry then you should also Post a proper registry backup method... Just sayin. ERUNT...
