Solve : windows 7 command prompt? |
|
Answer» HI, I am a tiny beginner and I need everyone help. Here is my problem: I am trying to run windows 7 in command PROMPT mode just like in MS-DOS -since Windows 7 doesn't have MS-DOS -but I quickly found out that edit command isn't recognise and I can neither find a way to copy a FILE from one subdirectory to another. Is there any computer nerd capable of getting me out of this well please? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!most likely a waste of time but try..... copy /? it should give you a list of commands The last Windows OS to be built on a DOS kernel was Windows 98.I just used both edit and copy in the Command Prompt window in my Windows 7 system and they worked. Perhaps you need to REVIEW the syntax for your DOS commands. Edit: This reference might be helpful: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/commandlinereference/tp/dos-commands.htmQuote from: soybean on NOVEMBER 13, 2012, 06:54:13 PM I just used both edit and copy in the Command Prompt window in my Windows 7 system and they worked.
