Solve : Windows 7 having problems with some program?

Answer»

When I said "it wouldn't hurt to try," I meant updating your drivers.

Whether or not the game is Live is no longer relevant.well, I went to ASUS, did everything so I could get to the updates for my laptop, but I couldn't FIND anything for the drivers.

I downloaded an update for the sound and lifeframe prorgam, which afterwards didn't work anymore.

And last night, I started my laptop and my touchpath doesn't work anymore, nor the left or right button. I have to work with my mouse now...Since the machine is 2 weeks old i'd exercise the Warranty on it...Well, at first I thought it would be the one laptop I had, cause it even caused the wireless system in the laptop to shut off. So I did demand a new one. Now it seems that the first laptop was perfectly fine, it was just Halo 2 who made it crash etc. So, I got the new one (same one) and tried REINSTALLING everything that I had on that first one. No problem, until I tried Halo 2. It started to randomly crash again so I had to RECOVER my laptop. It works fine, as long as I don't install halo 2 on it.

Is there someone who knows if it would be possible to somehow devide my C: into 2 parts and somehow manage to install vista on that other part? Perhaps it works then. I also figured out sometime if it was possible to have only 2 processor taking care of a certain program. Since someone else here said that my dual core processor might not be compatible with Halo 2, that might work as well.I doubt switching to Vista will solve your Halo issues...
Fact of the matter is laptops are carp for running high end games compared to desktop machines...
That being said you may want to visit the Halo Forums for a solution if you're COMMITTED to running it on this laptop.
Perhaps someone there has ran into the same issues.
