Answer» Is it possible to convert from Windows 7 to Mac Is it possible to convert from Windows 7 to Mac No. Quote from: Mulreay on April 13, 2010, 12:37:47 PM You can only run MAC software on a MAC but you can use emulators on UNIX/LINUX systems. But it's really not my forte so hang on to see if someone else can help. But IMO your heading down a very difficult road. After careful consideration I retract my comment... no you can't do it Quote from: Mulreay on April 13, 2010, 03:18:34 PM After careful consideration I retract my comment... no you can't do it So PearPC doesn't exist? It is legal, but if you WANT to run a Mac OS natively, you have to use a hacked Mac OS version, and we don't help with that. He said is it possible to convert from windows 7 to Mac OS. Absolutely right. In ADDITION, if you do succeed (Hackintosh) it is against the Apple Mac EULA to run Mac on non Apple hardware. You have to have a real Mac (or emulate Mac, which MAY break the EULA as well, not sure on that) to run the Mac operating system. But, Windows can be installed on Macs. Per http://www.apple.com/macosx/compatibility/, "Every new Mac lets you install Windows XP and VISTA and run them at native speeds, using a built-in utility called Boot Camp." Doesn't quite seem fair, does it? Edit: You might interested in Using Mac OS X on VMware. In other words, install VMware on your Windows machine and then install the Mac OS as a virtual machine so you can run it on your Windows computer. EDIT: sorry for the typo but I guess you got my meaning Quote from: Mulreay on April 13, 2010, 06:35:22 PM If you built a Bugatti Veyron would you let someone drive your Ford Focus?I guess you have a point there. This is true but you should appreciate it is a far cry from a Windows/Mac based platform.. it's not the easiest to learn... not recommended for people with NO experience.
