Solve : Windows 7 max hard drive space??

Answer»

Hi, I have been wanting to replace my laptops hard drive which is 80GB to like 320GB or higher, and I am just curious if there is a maximum limit for how much hard drive SPACE Windows 7 will support. My laptop is a Dell Inspiron E1705/9400 and the current hard drive that I am using is a Fujitsu MHV2080BH SATA hard drive with 80 GB of memory. All comments are appreciated. Thanks NTFS supoorts up to 2TB without any special setup per drive so you have a WAYS to go...2TB! Wow, that's higher than I thought. Thanks patio Yepper...The only concern would be if the laptop was old; in this case, it's recent enough (considering it uses SATA) that all the previous BIOS hard drive SIZE limitations have been solved and bypassed; so as LONG as you can plug in the hard drive the laptop should detect and use it.
