Solve : Windows 7 refuses to boot? |
|
Answer» My uncle has an acer aspire laptop which wont boot up normally, no logo no loading BAR, just "starting windows" text. And sometimes it would just show a black screen for like hours, showing no signs of booting. Tried safe mode, windows last successful boot (advanced), memory test, pretty much everything. When I tried safe mode, it would show the black screen loading the files from folder system32, but after like loading 5 or so files, it would stop and not do anything else, just showing that same screen. I just want to know if this is a hardware problem or not.Quote I just want to know if this is a hardware problem or not.Hard to say. You should have an install DVD for Windows 7. This is not always included by the maker of the computer. The install DVD can also FIX boot errors with Windows 7. It is not exactly a hardware problem, but hardware MIGHT be implicated. A hardware glitch corrupted a file and Windows tries to fix it and in not able to repair it 'on the fly', so to speak. So you boot from the DVD and do the repair work. Read this: Quote The System Recovery Options menu contains SEVERAL tools, such as Startup Repair, that can help you RECOVER Windows from a serious error. This set of tools is on your computer's hard disk and on the Windows installation disc.EDIT: Quote System recovery options can help you repair Windows if a serious error occurs. To use system recovery options, you'll need a Windows installation disc or access to the recovery options provided by your computer manufacturer. If you don't have either of those choices, you can create a system repair disc to access system recovery options. |
