Answer» HI Ok, we have a network share for all USERS in the college. So an example would be \\server1\users$\user1 This has been FINE while we have been using windows xp, but we are now testing Windows 7 and I have noticed that peoples homepace has now been changed from \user1 to my documents. Any ideas.Maybe I don't understand what your trying to say. My Win7 x64 Ultimate user space is under C:\Users\NAME.
If you link your computer to other COMPUTERS it can be used as Public, Private, Work workgroup. Once you connect to the pc you are going to share, and have adapted it's workgroup name, then you can share any directory you want to creat directories for the users connecting. You may have to create indivual accounts on the Windows 7 machine.
Is that helpful? Quote from: hallatie on MARCH 11, 2011, 02:51:56 AM I have noticed that peoples homepace has now been changed from \user1 to my documents.
Are you sure that you dont have both \user1 AND documents
