Solve : Windows 7 tool bar?

Answer»

Why is the windows 7 tool bar always in the way. is there a cure for this. it doesnt seem to DROP out of the way. it is often right where hyou want to read something or download something. Windows 7 itself doesn't have a "tool bar", Applications do.

What exactly are you REFERRING to?TASK bar at bottom of screen.Taskbar:

Right click > Properties > uncheck Lock the taskbar > check Auto-hide the taskbar > OK

Am home and not on the windows 7 machine but am sure have tried all that thought might be a known issue.

If you have tried the above, there are a number of other things to try, including a check of installed toolbars etc, and also this THREAD at answers.microsoft.com shouyld suggest some things to think about:

Taskbar:

Right click > Properties > uncheck Lock the taskbar > check Auto-hide the taskbar > OK
So, you've done this and the taskbar STILL does not hide. Is that right?

Do you understand how the Auto-hide feature works?
