Answer» windows 7 on my Acer Aspire 5810T won't recognize my 4GB Dane-Elec flash drive but my other laptop (Acer ASpire 1670) running XP will read it ok. I hear the usual 'docking' prompt tone when I plug it into the new laptop but NOTHING else. Device manager is the same. Does the USB drive show in Disk Management ? ?no, it doesn't show in disk managementPut it in the PC it works in... Copy all your important data...
