Answer» Hi, I don't know whether this is correct section or not for my question.
I have a PC running in Windows CE EMBEDDED and now faulty, cannot even enter BIOS. It running only from a CF card.
Is it possible from this CF card, I boot up my Dell laptop now in xp? Anybody have EXPERIENCE before?
Thanks. No, those cheap Windows CE "PCs" almost always run on embedded CPUs such as ARM/MIPS chips, therefore the software will not be able to start up on any other sort of system. Even if it was a standard x86 CPU, the software will almost certainly not be set up to boot on a standard BIOS that would be found in a regular PC.
Unless you are just referring to recovering data off of the card, I can't think of any reason to want to run Windows CE on a laptop that can run a full VERSION of Windows. Windows CE is totally not designed to be USED as a general purpose OS.
