Answer» Hello FOLKS, I need some help with Windows 7. I am trying to set up I watched the notebook and it is an HP with a 15 inch screen. My vision is very poor and I am used to my older 17 inch Dell running Windows XP.
Now here's the problem. Windows 7 on the new laptop appears to have limited settings you can alter for people and have vision problems. When I tried to make adjustments, all it wants to do is talk to me. Okay, my vision is very bad, but I'm not yet to the point where the computer has to talk to me. I just want the text to be larger and LEGIBLE, but Windows 7 still insists on making everything hard to see even after I asked for help. What am I doing wrong?
But in in Windows XP I could get it to do what I want.
I want real big fonts. With Windows 7. On a 15 inch laptop.
Control Panel->Optimize Visual Display (in the "Ease of ACCESS" GROUP)->Change the size of Text and Icons-> Choose Medium or Large, or "Set Custom Text Size (DPI) in the left hand taskpane.

Thanks. I could not see that itty bitty detail. Text was too SMALL.
