Answer» i'm having an issue with my winows explorer.after a while,it won't OPEN. It doesn't show any error message. What i usually do is to start task manager after trying to open control panel. The win explorer of the control panel shows on the application tabpage of the taskmanager.only then can i end the explorer application.after that,i can now open win explorer from the task bar. Please i will like to know the cause and how to solve it permanentlyHave you did something (install an application, or hardware) prior to this?no.i didn't install any conflicting hardware or software prior to this problem. I think it started the day i slept my laptop for 2 days.A bit strange. Haven't encountered that. Have you tried scanning your PC for possible infection? Have you tried restoring it to a date the explorer is still fine?yes. i scanned it with kaspersky antivirus, and it dectected nothing. but when i scanned it with the command prompt sfc/scannow thing and it was able to fix some errors and was UNABLE to fix some. But i havn't experienced it at least for a while now after the scan. thanks to you. is there any other thing i should do to prevent future occurence of this type of error? after the whole scan thing, my window has now DEVELOPED new error; it freezes for a while and start again. what should i do for i don't want to format this system Please describe the problem IN DETAIL.
