Answer» Everytime I boot up, windows installer window comes up FIRST saying trying to configur fax, then saying trying to configure PHOTO gallery. How can I get rid of this? What Windows version?Version is XPTry Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, first: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301Thanks for that. It GOT rid of the fax bit BUT not the photo gallery. It STILL comes up and says windows installer trying to configure photo gallery. Are you the only user of this machine ? ? Someone else may have been installing things... Why not go ahead and configure the Photo Gallery to completion ? ? You don't have to use it if you don't want to and the nag will go away...No one else uses machine. I cannot configure it as it asks for disc I haven't got. Windows was pre installed when machine purchased. Is it a registry problem. This may not be a Windows issue... Do you have an HP printer ? ?
If so See Here...Try running CCleaner: http://www.ccleaner.com/Check it out:
