Solve : Windows is not loading/starting.?

Answer»

My computer worked FINE before. We used this same computer to play SRO (SilkRoadOnline) game every day. Yesterday, after my son play SRO game then he shut-off. My wife came and turned on but it kept reboot over and over. After Windows loading screen finished then it restart over. It kept doing like that over and over. I tried to restart windows in Safe Mode but I couldn't. It kept restart it. I thought it would be something wrong in the BIOS. I took a look at it, and nothing changes in the BIOS. Drives boot sequence is still have the same setting as I have before. Anyone know what's wrong with it? Why it kept reboot, instead of loading window screen? All help will be appreciated.

My OS is Windows XP, SP2, 768MB of RAM, 1.0Ghz, and 80GB HDD. I built in summer 2001. Thanks. You're getting a BSOD but instead of showing it to you, XP is automatically restarting. (This is perhaps the dumbest feature ever!).

You can DISABLE the automatic reboot. This will allow you too see what error is causing the reboots. This error message is crucial.
Start the computer in normal mode and let it CRASH and reboot.
Tap F8 reaptedly during the bootup. This should bring you to the "Windows Advanced Options Menu".
From this menu select "Disable automatic restart on system failure" and press enter.
Select XP as the operation system to start and hit enter.
Now windows will try to load again.
This time instead of restarting you should GET a blue screen similar to this one.

The red boxes on the picture shows you what information from the blue screen you need to write down.
Post the info here. These are all I got from the blue screen that you marked with red box :

UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

***STOP: 0x000000ED

I don't know what all these information is about. It must be something wrong with my HDD, the boot sector?

Read through this:

Look especially at Method 2.
I hope you got an XP install disc because you will need it to access the recovery console.
