Answer» i downloaded and ran superantispyware on my desktop. after it ran and restarted. it never restarted it just kepts rebooting. it wont go in safemode or safemode with networking. the only thing i can get to come up is a blue screen that says:
a problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to you computer.
a driver has overrun a stack-based buffer. this overrun could potentially allow a malicious user to gain control of this machine.
if this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen restart your computer. if this screen appears again, follow these steps:
check to make sure any new hardware or SOFTWARE is properly installed. if this is a new installation, ask you hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.
if problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. disable bios or remove any newly installed hardware or software. disable bios memory options such as caching or shadowing. if you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press f8 to select advanced startup options, and then select safe mode.

i don't have a xp disk to try to fix anything i was just trying to get some help with this issue. Stop 0x0000007F or UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP
The Stop 0x7F message indicates that one of three types of problems occurred in kernel-mode:
• A condition that the kernel is not allowed to have or intercept (also known as a bound trap).
• Software problems.
• Hardware failures.
Possible Resolutions:
• Stop 0x7F messages are typically DUE to defective, malfunctioning, or failed memory hardware. If you added new hardware recently, remove and replace it to determine if it is causing or contributing to the problem. Run diagnostics software supplied by the system manufacturer to determine if the component has failed. (Memtest86 from Memtest86.com.)
• Running the CPU BEYOND the rated specification, known as "overclocking," can cause Stop 0x7F or other error messages due to heat buildup. When diagnosing problems on overclocked systems, first restore all clock and bus speed settings to the manufacturer recommended values to determine if this resolves the issues.
• The problem might also be due to cracks, scratched traces, or defective components on the motherboard. If all else fails, take the system motherboard to a repair facility for diagnostic testing.
• Stop 0x7F messages can occur after installing incompatible applications, drivers, or system services. Contact the software manufacturer about possible Windows XP specific updates. Using updated software is especially important for backup programs, multimedia applications, antivirus scanners, and CD mastering tools.

Quote from: SFlory1978is there any way i can fix this? Without an XP cd it's gonna be a hard slog.
First. Please read this and come back to us with as many DETAILS as you can. Need to know your hardware setup, floppy drive, cd/dvd
Also do you have access to a pc on which you can download from the internet and create floppy disks and/or burn cd's/dvd's? The pc MUST have updated anti-virus and firewall installed before accessing the internet. yes i do have access to another pc. i was wondering if i would be able to use it. it also has windows xp. how would i be able to use the other computer to help my situation.
