My computer was running slow so I just pushed in the power button to turn it off. A few minutes later I came back to turn it on, and this black screen came on saying something like, " We are sorry for................... this MAY have occurred due to a sudden restart or the use of the power button, please choose one with the arrow keys :: SAFE Mode, Safe mode Networking, Normally Start Windows"

Thing is , no matter WHAT I choose, it STILL restarts back at the same fricken screen over and over again. It won't even load the start up page. I know it's because I turned it off by holding in the power button, but I HAVE to get back into that computer.....help.......PLEASE! It's frustrating when you can't get your MACHINE to work and we want to assist...but you need to provide as much info as you can about the machine, flavor of Windows and what may have happened so it helps us help you...in ur situation,its quite funny on what/how to go bout whats up cos u can switch off a system by pressin the power botton n notin goes wrong n also, its not adviceable...

maybe u can carry out a maintenance check up by cleanin the CPU components.
if symptoms persists then only if...

.... u have a back up for ur data, u can re-INSTALL the OS n continue with ur job.

Do you have a shiny Windows CD? If you do set the computer thru the BIOS to boot to the cdrom drive & with the CD in choose to do a restore of the OS. You won't lose any data as it will reinstall the operating system only.

I don't see too many other options other than pulling the drive, slaving it to another computer, coping the data and do a clean install.
