Solve : windows live messenger not updating?

I am unable to update my old version version of messenger to the new live messenger.
how am i to solve this?More information.information LIKE?Exactly what happens when you try to update. And anything else you think might be helpful. "My car won't start" isn't a GOOD post. Does the engine turn over? Do the LIGHTS light up? Is there gas in the tank? Get the idea?oh i see.
well it updated now ( after the malware removal ), but it says

In other WORDS what are you doing when the error message occurs ? ?sorry.
before i was unable to upgrade my messenger but i believe that the problem was resolved due to the removal of malware, but now i have succesfully upgraded my messenger, but when ever i try to open messenger the error message-

is displayed and my old messenger is still installed in the computer due to some unknown reason and i can still use the old one. (thought you should know?)
