Answer» I have a Toshiba Satellite Laptop that was previously running XP, but we sent it to some people for REPAIR and they half installed Windows ME. (Most files are missing) ME WONT detect CDs, or PLAY sounds, or let me connect to the internet. I need to uninstall ME so I can run the recovery disc for my laptop, but without the ME installation disc or files. How can I do this?An update, I did....something and tried the disk again. After awhile a message CAME up saying: "Windows cannot find 'ERRORDIALOG.EXE'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search." Whats this mean?I would be returning the machine to the repair FACILITY demanding satisfaction and letting them know you have an attorney...Well we could do that.....are you sure theres nothing we can do to fix it?
