Solve : Windows minimizing unexpectedly?

Answer»

I RUN Windows Vista Home Premium and just lately I've had a problem where I open a window, doesn't really matter what program and the window MINIMIZES without me doing it. I try to open a picture and it opens and minimizes, try to open an email and it minimizes. I go back and forth fighting this constantly. I have good antivirus software (Panda) and I'm clean as far as I know for a virus. Plus I use Adaware and scan for spyware often. What would cause this and how do I fix it?
Thanks,
BGThis might sound simple if you are a more advanced computer user, however, its a COMMON problem:

If this is a laptop, are you accidentally TOUCHING your TOUCHPAD causing you to "click" on the desktop, minimizing everything?

A lot of users, especially those not used to a laptop, will do that on accident.

If you use an external mouse on your laptop, you can disable your touchpad, just remember to bring the mouse with you where-ever you go. I agree with Zylstra....  I sometimes, on my laptop, minimize things when I open it.  Make sure ur not touchin the way bottom or the right side of the touchpad when you open a file or when its open in general....I once had this problem (a long time ago) and it was the cause of a virus.

It seems like there are many possibilities here.
