Solve : windows NT -- trying to backup files to blank CD-R and USB DRIVE? |
|
Answer» HI, my friend has a Pentium 3 desktop computer with windows NT. I'm trying to move emails, DOCUMENTS, music, and pictures over to their new computer, a custom built dell desktop with a 19 inch flat panel display. Anyways, on to the problem: I popped in the blank CD-R (i shows 649MB free, 0 used) and in a separate WINDOW, bring up the documents that need to be transferred over from the computer. I dragged all of them over and as soon as I did, I got this error: " Access Denied. Please make sure the file is not locked or in use." So I individually tried a few in the list and NONE of them worked; I got the same error message. I also tried this using my UBS drive and got the same result. I went into properties and the documents aren't locked, ARCHIVED or stored as read-only. I can move and copy and paste the documents into other areas of the computer, I just can't transfer them unto a blank CD-R or usb drive, which is what I need. Help? Try Thisdl deepburner and try it that wayQuote from: patio on September 23, 2007, 04:31:19 PM Try This Thank you, I will try that! |
