Solve : Windows Office Licence Key?

Answer»

At my office, I used to have a guy who dealt with EVERYTHING computer wise.
He has since left (emigrated to Australia - I can't get hold of him).
I have since expanded the office and implemented a new server and computers etc.
However my new IT guy desperately needs the old office licence codes to configure them to the server and provide a certificate of authenticity (it's a solicitors office and regulations require this).

I believe there is some way to extract them from the registry on each individual computer but i don't want to DOWNLOAD a program to do this (paranoid of viruses).
Can someone give me 'step by step' instructions on how to extract the office licence key?

There aren't any, since the key stored in the registry is encrypted. I think you'll either have to get a program to retrieve it, or PURCHASE Office all over again. If you are paranoid about "downloading a program" consider a paid for program with TECH support like Keyfinder 2010. In any case, if you are paranoid about viruses, don't you have up-to-date virus protection?
Download and run it.  Does not require installation.
http://www.magicaljellybean.com/keyfinder/Belarc Advisor will also give you what you desire. Any good IT guy would have known how to find this. Quote from: ace11 on May 17, 2010, 03:29:26 PM

Well, as you can see from suggestions posted, you will have to download some software to do this.  That's shouldn't be an issue.  Belarc has probably been used by millions of computer users.  And, there are numerous reliable sources to download from.  See the license agreement for it at http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/support/downloads/discwizard.  The free version is only for non-commercial use.  But, they have other products for commercial users.
