Answer» After a blackout, I turned on my COMPUTER, to face the "Apologize, but windows did not start successfully..." window, and it gave me the selections between Safe Mode and Normal. Whenever I click on any of them, It goes to the Windows XP LOGO, and APPEARS to load, however after about 3 seconds AUTOMATICALLY restarts the computer, and the same message pops up. Does anyone KNOW why this might have occurred? I haven't had any problems with viruses lately at all, so I ruled out them. Any help is appreciated, thanks.Have you tried getting into safe mode?Yeah, I've tried every single option and it just restarts a few seconds after the XP loading Screen.If you have an original Windows Cd, set the BIOS to boot to the CDROM first, then put the CD in and do a restore. Alan <>< I wouldn't attempt a "Restore" but a "Repair", first. Actually...I sit corrected... If the Restore doesn't work, then try the repair. I apologize for jumping the gun.
