Answer» I have an HP Pavillion w/ WinME installed. I tried to update the video driver and used the wrong driver. Now the COMPUTER will only boot up in safe mode. When the boot OPTION comes up and I select "Normal" I get the following error: "Windows protection error. You need to RESTART your computer. Startup halted". I have tried to re-install the WinME OS but once it loads the drivers and goes to restart, it doesn't. The hard drive light is on and the CD light is on but the MONITOR is off. If I restart from that point using the front panel, I'm back to the windows error message even when TRYING to re-install the OS. Anybody know a work around for this so that I might re-install ME or another OS? Thanks in advance.
