Solve : Windows Start but only showing cursor?

Answer»

I thought of a parallel install, but I don't know if your system drive is large enough. If you have room to install the OS anywhere on your system go ahead and try.I have more than enough space in the drive to install another windows
now, how can I uninstall the broken windows xp?Don't uninstall it. Do what we call a parallel install - install a second instance of XP then grab the files you NEED from the drive and copy them to an off disk medium. Then you can reformat and start from scratch, which you really need to do. okay, I already save the data in my hard drive
now, how should I reformat the windows?PLEASE be more clear on what your goal for this machine is...
You're bouncing around and trying to get this done yesterday....this normally does not produce good results...

How did you backup ? ?You saved it to SOMETHING other than your hard drive, right? Let's assume so.

Boot to your XP CD and start the install process. Choose C: Drive as the destination and you'll be offered the OPTION to format first. Take that option.THANK you very much for helping me.
Sorry I waste all of your time, I think it's gonna be fine now
I owe you a lot. thank youyou wouldnt lose much if you only formated the 12gb partitionQuote from: smeezekitty on August 23, 2009, 04:05:57 PM

Depending on where the OP stores the documents, then a lot could be lost. Some documents are important.i find usuly when somone puts there os on a small partition
they keep there important data nd programs on there larger one
because otherwise you would fill up the 12gigs in no timeNever assume that. Always start at the beginning and work from there.Quote from: Quantos on August 23, 2009, 04:12:24 PM
