Answer» When my Desktop Windows XP boots up, it pauses at a screen which asks me which one of two versions of XP to install. One of the versions, the default version, is corrupt and is not the one I wish to install. If I don't act fast enough or select the wrong version the boot up fails. I know which version is the one I want to select. What software file and how do I EDIT it to remove the unwanted version from the boot up QUESTION? This a problem whenever the computer does an automatic boot or if my wife has to make the decision. Thank you for any help you can give me on this annoying problem.Right-click My Computer/choose Properties/choose Advanced tab.
